Our experience as long-established funeral directors provide us with an understanding of the customs and traditions of many religious faiths as they relate to funerals, including those of faiths new to Ireland.
You will either need to re-open an existing grave or purchase a new grave. When purchasing a new grave many cemeteries offer a choice of locations and prices. In this case, we will arrange for the family to visit the cemetery to select a grave.
Cremations have become much more popular in Ireland in recent years. We can discuss the different ceremony options for a cremation and if you decide you would prefer a cremation, we will make all necessary arrangements.
A death overseas can be a complex issue when trying to return the deceased to Ireland. We have extensive experience in repatriation and will co-ordinate all documents, embassies and airlines and the preparation of the deceased to ensure a dignified presentation on return to their home country.
We have a very experienced embalmer to achieve the highest possible standard of presentation available. Once embalmed the decease can repose in our funeral home or family residence.
Our fleet of funeral vehicles consist of modern Mercedes hearses. We collect the family and friends as arranged and bring them to the church or ceremony location and afterwards to the cemetery or crematorium.
Music makes up an integral part of most funeral services whether religious or otherwise. Religious ceremonies generally require religious music and hymns during the service while non-religious and civil services can have live or pre-recorded music. We are happy to advice you on your funeral music selections.
After the funeral some families wish to provide refreshments for those attending in the home or a conveniently located local venue. These gatherings allow the family of the deceased to provide refreshments to those who attended but also to give those attending the funeral the opportunity to offer their condolences and to share fond memories in a more comfortable and relaxed setting.
